Jeez. Opal was a Category 4 storm that hit Panama City in 1995 and did massive damage that took years to repair. Glad I don't own property on Sanibel Island.
I know...the eye is right near there and that is where the highest winds are in hurricanes.
I can't imagine the damage that is going on right now.
It is probably getting stronger as we speak with the eye still not on land.
BTW, I have vacationed on Sanibel. It is just incredibly incredibly beautiful.
This is going to take years to repair.
