Wifey on the phone with her sis in Lakeland right now...the worst has passed through there and they've untaped some of the windows. We were nervous (out here in Cali) about earlier in this thread having indications that the eye was over Haines City, very close to Lakeland.

Lakeland was maybe 20-25 miles west of the eye, which was maybe 5-8 miles across.

Glad to hear they made it through - they were very lucky. I've got one last band of t-storms coming off the southern side of Charlie, but it looks like a good one and the WX radio says it is beating up Okeechobee. So far we've been very lucky in southern brevard county.
