So you think they would be ok????? has the hurricane passed over her by now???Sure hoping so . She is from Los Angeles, and has been through major earthquakes, but never a hurricane.
Just spoke to my relatives who are very near to where she is (just a couple of miles away). They said that it wasn't bad at all—some rain, a little wind. That isn't to say that they won't get hit by a band here and there, but the worst part (worrying that the eye could hit them) is over.

Sorry to you also for the late reply. Your sister should have been fine. We were really spared the brunt of it. Unfortunately, our good luck is someone else's bad luck. I have a friend in North Port which is just to the north of Port Charlotte. She was scared to death. It got pretty ugly for them. Fortunately, her husband really prepared. They lost power, but they're OK.
