I just got on and haven't had a chance to read through the thread nor have I had access to the news. My family and I are going to the beach in Emerald Isle, NC (southern NC) on Sunday. What are they calling for the storm to do?
Yeah, in SC, NC and Long Island. The Jersey Shore is oriented North/South and rarely gets a direct hit - instead, it tends to get dumped on by remnants (Floyd comes to mind).
Eye appears to be crossing I-75 now. Near the county line intersections to the northeast of Port Charlotte.
Next town? Arcadia?

Well, Wrightsville will be clear by 9; they don't play. I sent the alerts we got earlier today to all my friends over on Figure Eight; they got right to work. One of those hurricanes came ashore there.......can't remember which.

Well I DO because it has ripped MY family a part! I have one relative who died over drugs. It has infiltrated into my community too. So yes, I am extremely obsessed about drug traffickers. So if you don't like my posts "ignore" them. (shrug)

They just pointed and wrote on the screen on channel 10 (coverage from the cbs affiliate) that charley is following the peace river basin,and will be nailing us in Sebring. Yikes it is beginning to rain here again and all my huge oaks are doing a very bizarre windy ballet.
