Hardest thing for me is typing with one hand

Mombonn, you are so sweet.

Maybe this hindrance helps to identify with what kitty is going through. What happened to require the kitty's leg amputation? How old is it?

Kitty, aka Tommy, showed up a couple years ago. He looked to be old and hurting. It turned out, he was young. It was obvious that he'd been around people.

We fed him, took him to the vet to determine if anyone was missing him, did the same in our "neck of the woods". No one recognized him.

He bulked up, visited on a regular basis, every week or 10 days. He makes GREAT babies!

He showed up last week. As my husband left for work, he noticed that Tommy had a bone sticking out of his leg. I took him to the Vet.

The Vet determined that Tommy had been attacked 24-35 hours earlier; the sweetie had dragged himself back to us, knowing that we would help.

His injuries were due to an attack by a larger animal, most likely either a dog or a coyote.

Some $400 later (and counting), Tommy has taken to being inside, using a litter box, doesn't mind making multiple trips to the Vet.

Saving his back leg was not an option, but has been going up and down stairs since day 1.

He's snuggling up next to my feet as I post. Never has there been a sweeter, more grateful cat ever!

Today made the third time this week that I've put him in the pet carrier and hauled him to the Vet - he has yet to complain!
