Desperation...

How desperate are the Democrats when confronted with Kerry's possible lying nuance about Cambodia? Enough so to run this picture from the Yale yearbook showing Bush playing Rugby:

Bob-Harris-Is-On-Crack.gif

Our intrepid partisan then notes:

As long as we're re-examining the 1960s, looking for signs of character, trying to decide if a man who volunteered for combat and was decorated five times was more or less courageous than a guy who didn't even show up for his own medical exam... here's George W. Bush during his college days, hitting a fellow sportsman in the face.

Bwahahaha. Sorry. I am laughing too hard to type.

Liberals have confused the rugby party for the courthouse and the presidency

Oh, and since when liberals were in control? GAsp! That's a scary thought.

The guy who punches second always gets caught. No doubt that,if this is a punch, it is being delivered in response to misbehavior by the player receiving said punch.

Upon further review, is that not the "ball" being held by the opposing player? Bush is trying to knock it lose, if that guy wants to cover the ball with his face he's not too smart.

What kind of hockey player was Kerry?

Reportedly, the kind who never gave up the puck. In other words, a glory hound, not a team player.

I played two years of rugby while in training at Albany Medical Center (our best games were always against Albany Law). At any rate, the action is fast and rough, and Dubya could easily have been going for a shoulder take-down while the ball carrier attempted to duck under the grab. Still shots rarely tell the whole picture.

And, BTW, it cost me four back operations. But, the beer parties afterwards and the rugby songs and ladies made blood and bruises worth it.

Daschle was deeply saddened and felt it would be much more "sensitive" if Bush shot the opponent in the back!!

Seems to me there is a lot of "poetic license" going on in association with " 'splainin' " that pic.

Wow - woman's perspective is that the picture Of Bush punching a rugby opponent will get the female vote. Bush is a manly man. Kerry is a girlie man. Photo should be widely ditributed.

Anyone who has been in school long enough to get a yearbook knows that they are traditionally full of joke captions for photos. There is no way to know exactly what happened before the photo was snapped, nor is there any way to know what happened afterwards. A lucky shot of someone blinking makes them look like they're asleep. Just a game of "caption this"!

This is b.s.

Both of GWB's feet are off the ground, his body is at an angle to the other guy and he's not even facing the other guy.

Punch? I think not

Doesn't look like a punch to me. By the configuration of his fingers and the bend of his arm, it looks like he grabbed for the ball and missed.

Betcha Bush got 6 purple hearts' worth of injuries playing Rugby.

The caption does not match the picture. How do you deliver a punch like that with your feet off the ground?!?!?

I think the story is how these people will lie about anything. If they had a picture of Bush kissing a baby, they'd claim he was trying to bite off the nose.

Debate This!

Rumor has it that the man
being punched in the face has
been identified as young John Kerry.

Kerry response: "As you can see, Bush
doesn't wear mfaggoty head gear
like I did."

Looks like a miss tackle to me. The punches usually happen in scrum.

All this thread needs is a zulu war dance and a few verses of Ekimo Nell!
