Pat led O'Neil through the tainted stories of each of the bogus medals with detailed precision. The part about his silver star grabbed my interest. O'Neil said that it didn't bother him that Kerry killed the wounded Viet Cong, but did he really deserve a silver star for that action and the fact that he got it after only two days.
Like Pat Buchanan said "The debate is hardly over".
It is instructive to remember that Pat was a Nixon speech writer. Though he would never admit it, he does have a dog in this fight. Not good for Kerry because Buchanan has a different kind of visibility than other conservatives.
