"Lehman said this" in the medal citation...and O'Neill shot back that Lehman was SecNavy 14 YEARS AFTER KERRY's SERVICE

I noticed Lehman's name on the published citation.. also that it was, I think, undated. Never quite understood if it was written years later (why) or what.

We still don't know the answer to that. Lehman was SecNav from 1981 to 1987. Many of us have tried to discern why HE would have signed Kerry's citations so many years after the action.

Interesting that Lehman's tenure coincides perfectly with Kerry's first run for the Senate...when union bosses were telling him their rank and file didn't like that he threw his medals away. Voila! Right smack dab in the middle of the 80's, the medals reappear! It's like....magic!

(BTW, I've gotten a reporter interested in the Lehman angle...a GOOD reporter)

Yep, the fact that Kerry asked Lehamn to sex up the citation to make it seem worthy of the Silver Star is so Kerryesque.

It would make sense that Kerry through away his medals in protest (which he has changed his story on) as anti-war hero.
Then, he asked Lehman to replace them in the eighties so he could be a war hero again.

Could this be the truth?
