He's fine. We did a post op review and critique. He's going to include it in his "how I spent my summer vacation" report.
Doesn't want to go back to Wendy's, though...

This brought back a memory for me of when I was 9 years old and my Dad and I were ordered to the grocery store to pick up a cake for my little brother's birthday because Mom had burnt the cake she baked.
We were in the rear of the store with cake in hand, when we heard screaming and a store clerk come running by us to say that they were being robbed by 2 masked gunman.
My Dad grabbed me and we went through the back of the store where he pried open the warehouse door and shooed me out. He went back in to help an elderly lady out and then we headed to the car.
At that point I said "Dad...you didn't pay for the cake"!
He told me we'd go back to pay the next day, but if he went home without a cake, Mom would kill him. :-)
Dads are cool.
