It's sounding more and more like Iran is blustering from a position of strength (re: nuclear capability) versus desperation. It doesn't make sense for them to pick a fight if they're THIS CLOSE to achieving nuclear critical mass. I would venture that they're further along than we are being made aware...

The Wall Street Journal today reports that al Qaeda cells have MULTIPLIED in Pakistan since Musharraf's crackdown -- that the Pak middle class is becoming increasingly disilluisoned with Pervez' relationship with the U.S.
If anyone thinks the War on Terror has a foreseeable finish line, they're mistaken. Unless moderate Islamics are willing to police their own radicals, a confrontation (or event) is inevitable. Based on the inability of our homegrown (and transplanted) moderate Muslims to even simply vocalize their displeasure with Islamo-fascism, it doesn't seem likely we will resolve the problem anytime soon.
