Parts of Punta Gorda are gone. I expected to hear these kind of stories...

Hopefully the people that needed to get out did or casualty reports will pile up as people get into the areas most affected.

This is just an example of the level of destruction in Charlotte:

Mike Souders, chief of the Bradenton Fire Department, said he received a call that four firehouses in Charlotte County were destroyed, and that a station in Manatee County would send three engines and a chief to help.
