Police searching waterfront for two Turkish men

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - The Coast Guard says it has found two life jackets in the search for two men who apprently jumped ship in New Haven harbor.

The harbor is the focus of a search by Homeland security and Coast Guard officials.

They're searching for two Turkish men who jumped off a ship docked in the harbor.

Officials say they're treating the case as two missing persons and a possible security issue.

The men were discovered missing this morning. Two life vests were also missing from aboard the ship and have been found on shore.

Homeland Security Director John Buturla says officials are involved in the case and the State Police helicopter has been searching from the air.
