In the meantime, that big sucking sound you hear is a huge sigh of relief from the Tampa Bay area. They are really dodging a HUGE bullet. Charley is going to go right between Charlotte Harbor and Fort Myers - as a Category 4 - that's Andrew-like-territory. Very, very scary.
Now there's a Tropical Depression No. 4 out near the Windward Islands - same place where Charley formed.
There's also another forming off of Africa as we speak. It's looking like a hurricane factory right now.
What's going on with the tire fire?
The smell of the tire fire (masking something?); high winds; JellyJam, you may want to reconsider going outside for too long. I'm being paranoid maybe, but I "question the timing".
