I loved that pistol.
They retired those about 5 years after I entered law enforcement, and replaced it with the Ruger P-85 auto's in the early 90's. Both were good firearms, but the Ruger was like hauling a boat anchor around on your hip for hours at a time.
I know cops today who never carried a wheelgun or used speedloaders...poor guys and girls dont know what they missed.

LAS VEGAS Before Nine-Eleven, terrorists discussed recruiting treatment plant workers to poison water supplies in major urban areas.
That's according to a federal bulletin sent out yesterday to law enforcement and water agencies nationwide.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal quotes the four-page document as detailing discussions by unnamed terrorists who had been under government surveillance.
But the document doesn't refer specifically to Las Vegas or any other city.
The bulletin describes the terrorists as showing "a certain degree of operational sophistication" about unsecured water facilities.
The bulletin advises authorities nationwide to adopt 15 protective measures against certain possible terror scenarios.
A county emergency management official says the bulletin was sent out to urge vigilance about employees hired at water-treatment plants.
