"I remember Christmas of 1968 sitting on a gunboat in Cambodia. I remember what it was like to be shot at by Vietnamese and Khmer Rouge and Cambodians, and have the president of the United States telling the American people that I was not there; the troops were not in Cambodia. I have that memory which is seared - seared - in me." Well Senator Kerry, since this memory is seared into you, could you please take this tack, and place it on this map to identify your location on December 25, 1968?

50 miles seems like a long way in Vietnam, the country is not very wide

Using your map it appears where Keery was located Vietnam is about 125 miles wide. That means if he went half way across the country he would be with in 55 miles from Cambodia.
Saigon was about 45 mile to the border and Cui Chi and Tay Ninh were I was is all within 30 miles. If you where a little east of Tay Ninh you could see movement across the border at night.
