The Bullet Hole is good with me, in fact, it's my first choice.
It doesn't seem to be popular with the rest of the gang, though.

If I went on vacation to the US, would they let me use a firearm on a gun range? WoooHooo!
You bring y'self on down here to Texas, dear, and we'll show you how the cow ate the cabbage! ;-)
To: humblegunner
I can't go in October, though. From my point of view, that's a drawback.

Feeding me steak, showing me cabbage eating cows, and giving me a firearm.
Boys! I'm not sure HOW I could resist!
Seriously, I'm thinking of a US trip next year - and Texas is on the itinerary! You guys better load up those barrells! :-)

Seriously though. If I went on vacation to the US, would they let me use a firearm on a gun range? THAT would be SO cool. They is us, and yes. You would get to shoot a bunch of weapons. The problem ranges have with the .50BMG is the ranges are not large enough to withstand a 45 degree up bubble vertical mistake. To shoot, yes, we could arrange damn near anything that you have heard of.
We would be honored by your presence and I have pinged my wife, TheMom, so that you know that I am not hitting on you. (I would keep an eye on TC though!!!)

Thanks Eaker.
And can I get my hair fixed all big too? *LOL* (I'm only kidding! *LOL*)
Seriously - I'd love it.
I know I would.
And thank you all for rolling out the invitations. There's not too many would trust a Mick with a gun in their hand! ;-)

If I went on vacation to the US, would they let me use a firearm on a gun range? You come to Houston and we will fix you up with everything short of a LAW (which can be arranged with some notice). ;-)
Most big ranges will let you rent a gun, or use one if you buy the ammo there and they're in a good mood.

"so that you know that I am not hitting on you. (I would keep an eye on TC though!!!)" Dadgummit, Tom! I was playing that soooo cool, and you had to blow my cover!
To: Eaker
Someone should post some pics of previous shoots.
It ain't me, cause I'm going to sleep.
I'll check back later, though, and give you a hard time for noncompliance.

"I can't go in October," The whole month??
To: Happygal
If you're over by my part of the US, I know a good pistol range that rents firearms and is very safe(I'm a hardliner on that).
You might even get a good story out of it. "I've been to the heart of America's infamous gun culture and lived to write about it." :)

There's not too many would trust a Mick with a gun in their hand As I tell my dear friend Mr. Speer from County Cork, we English have been killing you Mick's for 400 years and you being armed won't change that, we just send along the Irish Whiskey first!! ;-)
WAIT! You bring the Irish Whiskey and we'll supply the ammo!!!
BTW Eaker was right about TC ..........

Seriously, I'm thinking of a US trip next year - and Texas is on the itinerary! You guys better load up those barrells! :-) I was in Texas 15 years ago. Houston Area and Galveston Island. I went on a deep sea fishing trip as well. I loved it...even if I almost stepped on a jellyfish.
