Didn't report or didn't get briefed?

John Care-ee criticized Bush for not doing anything for almost 7 minutes when he heard about the WTC plane crash, but in an interview with Senator Kerry after the 9-11 attack, he said when he learned about the attack, he was
"frozen" unable to do anything, and then he saw smoke billowing from the pentagon and realized another plane had hit it also. So from the 2nd plane crash into the WTC tower til the crash of the plane into the Pentagon was
40 minutes. 40 minutes he and his colleagues were "Frozen" and were unable to do anything, but he criticizes President Bush for doing nothing for "almost seven minutes"
WHAT A TOTAL HYPOCRITE!!!!

I voted to hold Saddam Hussein accountable, because, had I been president, I would have wanted that authority, because that was the way to enforce the U.N. resolutions and be tough with the prospect of his development of weapons of mass destruction. But the president said he would go to war as a last resort. The president said he would exhaust the remedies of the U.N. The president said he would build a legitimate international coalition. Tony Blair has said that France would not, under any circumstances, support military action. This was the last resort...if you were truly interested in holding Iraq accountable. But now I wonder if Kerry just threw away his vote in the Senate knowing that UN wasn't going to support the war. Kerry truly is gutless.
As an aside, the transcript puts into context Kerry's cheap shot about the President's initial reactions on September 11. There was no call for the remark, he went out of his way to weave into his response.

it's pandering gobbledy-gook for Native Americans panelist who asked her question ... and it bodes well for the debates this fall because Kerry tends to venture down unchartered territory when he has to answer off-the-cuff.

Definitely.
Every time I listen to one of his speeches or read a transcript, I think how can people not question the content?
He rambles incoherently. Yet, none of the media and none of the loyal opposition question him about what he says. Half or more of what is says has no meaning, if one really listens or reads his statements.

(After 20 years in the Senate, all Kerry has to run on is 4 months of service in Viet Nam.)

I (kerry), personally, and others were deeply involved in the effort with other countries to bring them to the table. I met with the Security Council of the United Nations in the week preceding the vote in the Senate. Well, well, well... is this where he gets the other countries who he claim back him and want Bush out??? You know, the ones he "won't tell us their names."

Maybe kerry was just "helping out a friend".
Maybe Jimmy Carter was going to do it, but Carter had a busy "house building schedule", so he asked kerry to "fill-in" for him.

Oh my God! If this man becomes President, It will likely cost hundreds of thousands of American lives and destroy any credibility we have gained since Clinton.

Well this would have to be UNSCR 1441, cause after that Bush made all the plays.
That was the last UN vote on Iraq, before the war.
To: Mo1
I suppose it depends on which senate vote Kerry means.
"Senate approves Iraq war resolution
Administration applauds vote
Friday, October 11, 2002 Posted: 12:35 PM EDT
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- In a major victory for the White House, the Senate early Friday voted 77-23 to authorize President Bush to attack Iraq if Saddam Hussein refuses to give up weapons of mass destruction as required by U.N. resolutions."
