I think it's particularly humorous that the same cadre of posters who berated supporters of Pat Toomey and Tom McClintock (you must vote for the most electable candidate to defend The Party) are now the biggest bashers of Alan Keyes. Evidently defending The Party is only a laudable goal when the candidate is a liberal; when a conservative comes along and reminds them of their own appalling lack of principles the game is (evidently) changed.
If anyone harbors illusions that these folks are something more than liberal political hacks who hate conservatism, I suspect that's no longer the case.
