I will compile the list into a webpage and post for all to enjoy. I know that my Fellow Freepers have good judgement and good taste so this should be a great list!!

Chris and Pitts in North Long Beach, CA on Artesia Blvd near Bellflower Blvd. They also bottle their sauce in the local grocery stores.

Iron Works in Austin. I have no idea about their politics, but their brisket and sausages sure are tasty.

And Texas Land & Cattle Co, http://www.texaslandandcattle.com, is a great chain, with outlets all over Texas and elsewhere such as in Phoenix. Alas, they took their Laredo Rib-Eye off the menu, but you can construct your own by ordering the Rib-Eye spicy and a side of cheese enchiladas. Wow.

Jim and Nicks of Birmingham is mighty fine for a very small (6) chain.
*I share property with them...

Don't know if anyone listed this before, but here goes:
Best BBQ In The Known Universe
Calhoun's on the Tennessee River, Knoxville, Tenn. Best ribs anywhere. Period.

In twenty years, I've never found barbeque to match Dale's BBQ in Fort Pierce, Florida.
According to a cursory internet search, they're at:
3362 S US HIGHWAY 1, FORT PIERCE, FL 34982, (772) 461-0052
Perfect ribs, and the best sauce on Earth.

Cecil's in Orlando, FL, on South Orange Avenue, south of Michigan, on the right. It is Texas style BBQ, buffet style, good portions, and it takes an effort to spend more than ten bucks for dinner. Try the beef brisket.
Cecil's is nondescript, even a little run down, and with Texas theme decorations. The apparent exception is the cartoon on the wall signed by the current Florida Governor -- but then again, Jeb was born in Texas.

My dining room table, with my wife's barbecued boneless pork ribs. Absolutely delicious.

I've never eaten there, but I've heard Maurice's in Columbia, South Carolina is outstanding, and he has made the right enemies with his political incorrectness.

Everything I have had there is really good -
Of special mention - the pork is awesome.

And the only BBQ I like at our local BBQ joint is their ribs - really good dry ribs - Nick's BBQ in Carlisle, Arkansas

Circle H BBQ in Decatur Tx. None of that boiled pork stuff but real beef BBQ and soft rolls the size of softballs that they throw to ya.
