"Failure to heed the orders of an officer".

Did you forget to hold the mayo, or something? Gave em the wrong kind of donut?

Nothing so drastic, merely demanded to know WHY I was being stopped before the cop had made up his mind what his excuse would be.

It has become common for local cops to pull people over at random, or merely due to being out after mid-night, then decide their reason for the stop afterward if they have to.
This one was abusive, he forgot to render me even the slightest courtesy and I knew DAMN WELL I had done nothing at all wrong.

When I demanded that he call the watch commander or Sheriff to witness what a jerk he was being he maced me, then attempted to break my arm.
Turns out his older brother was the shift commander that night, so he helped him write up a ludicrous litany of stupid and absurd lies.
I was charged with assaulting an officer and failure to obey his orders!
For the life of me I cannot find anything in the constitution giving alleged L.E. (in this case thugs) the power to give citizens orders that would put them in physical jeopardy if followed, certainly not without probable cause!

It appears that the fourth amendment has been repealed along with the others.

Really too long to go in to full detail, but the end result is that I no longer respect my local L.E. or courts.

This sad corruption of their office may be related to the voters rejecting a proposed 5% county gas tax for the second time.
L.E. and the county share "ticket" revenues, the "Justice Court" judge is a former cop.
