It's upsetting to think that when at long last, the truth comes out about Kerry, Savage ratchets up the hype or whatever he thought he was doing, and ends up weakening the message. It's not about Bush, it's about Kerry

In fairness to Savage, the question he asked Gardner about Bush was one sentence in a lengthy interview. I think it was an appropriate question, and it also gave Gardner the opportunity to clearly state that the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth is independent from the Bush administration, they want the President to stay out of it, and they've received no money from the Bush administration. Savage didn't pursue any follow-up questions about the President, nor has he weakened the swiftvet's story in any way IMO.

I agree. Gardner was very straight forward in his answer. This is not about politics --it's about whether or not Kerry is qualified to lead this nation. Gardner made that very clear in his answer.
