It's official! Yahoo!
It's called burying the hatchet for the good of the party, for the good of America. In the times we live in, we can't afford to lose races to the Democrats over petty disputes.
Those who don't like Keyes 100% because he doesn't like Bush 100% need to do what Keyes has done: put aside one's dislikes and work to defeat the Democrats, whose agenda would reap destruction for nation.
We need to focus our energies to their defeat, and do no harm to those on our side.
harrowup has already told that joke about eight times now laughing boy...try to get some original material, eh?
I am no cheerleader for ANY Democrat, and I haven't seen anyone else engaging in that sort of thing either. I would like to think people could stay above the threshold of flat-out lying, but I'm starting to think I'm expecting too much.
I remember Steve Forbes never passed the Keyes supporters religious purity test.
"No matter how smart you think you are, evidently you aren't smart enough to realize this isn't my original screename."
Oh no, there's another reincarnation of you? Simply horrifying. Twice the you? Twice the repetition? Twice the nastiness? Twice the silliness? Pardon my not being psychic if you have a clone of yourself somewhere. A disturbing thought at best.
Do we really want to take the time during the political season to point out the differences of opinion we have about Bush's policies in order to point out that they are about policies and not Bush? Do we have no responsibility to do the right thing in politics, ever?
that you regularly search for Keyes threads to come on board and attack him
As usual, you give you and Keyes more credit than you all deserve. I've got better things to do that look for Keyes threads; if I see one, I'll post on it if I want to. You should really try to get over that self-importance complex you have.
In all honesty, as I said once or twice before on this very thread, watching you all twist in your principles has been fun!
Sorry I didn't pay particular attention to when "Howlin" may have changed her screen name from something else way back when. Actually, her posts never really caught my attention until this evening, thank goodness. Saved myself years of ulcers.
In 1942, Hitler had an iron grip on the entire continent of Europe, and the Japanese had control of the Pacific. America couldn't win, no way. The odds were too long.
But we did.
True leaders don't look at odds. They answer the call to duty no matter the personal cost
I don't know who you are, but you post like John Kerry; a million words when a few would do.
And never keep your promises. Go to bed.
Now I mean it, good night.
I am in daily contact with people who know what's going on in Ill.,so yes,I am posting from knowledge.
I worked with the GOP,in Chicago.I doubt they're better than they were...as a matter of fact, they appear to be worse off now.And their "support" for candidates is at its lowest point I've seen in 30 years.
If you didn't see/hear Obama in Boston, take my word for it,he WILL eat Keyes alive.Keyes does the William Jennings Bryant bit...Obama is as smooth as Bill Clinton.
Howlin, what was your old screen name?
Well, if he does decide, tell him to diffuse the issue immediately.
He could say something like this:
When they ask him why he is accepting even after he said the things he did about Hillary, he could say
"Because I could."
Stalker.
Passing through Illinois tomorrow on my way to my daughter's wedding.
I'll let you know how some of the folks on the ground are responding to the possible Keyes/Obama race.
Have a good evening, and good night.
Don't forget to ping me, please. :)
do u think the swiftboat ads are going to get any traction?
i gave em a Franklin....wish it would help.
this is the worst media hypocrisy i've ever seen.
Okey dokey! :-)
Night...
It reminds me of a girl I grew up with; she went off to private schools and once was heard referring to the rest of us as "from the wrong side of the tracks."
One night at some party, a really drunk guy pointed out that she could say that about anybody because "she built the tracks around her house."
It works for them though.
