I agree with your observations regarding Moore at the DNC.
He's replaced Jackson as the Typhoid Mary of Democrat politics at the moment.

It is a condition caused by a lack of vitamin C in the system. And about the only thing Moore lacks in that vast system of his is a shred of intellectual honest...JFK

If Michael Moore really wasn't wanted in the sky box, why didn't Jimmy Carter throw him out? Oh that's right Carter is a wimp!

Michael Moore like he had scurvy. He had no official role. He did, however, sneak into Jimmy Carter's booth, if that's what you mean. False.
I watched the entire demcon and not only was Moore not treated like he had scurvy, Carter welcomed him to his booth. He did not "sneak".

He did, however, sneak into Jimmy Carter's booth, if that's what you mean. Does this mean that Carter's Secret Service protection has been withdrawn?

Moore was first barred from the Convention, then when he threatened to raise a big stink (something he does everywhere he goes, I'd wager), they gave him credentials to allow him in. Once inside, he was treated like visiting royalty. He might not have been allowed on the podium, but he was one of the most visible presences in the media during that week, and not a single Democrat publicly repudiated his anti-Americanism, slanders and falsehoods. If they didn't really want to embrace Moore and his odious demogoguery, they had every opportunity to make it clear, and they did not. Instead, they cheered him, invited him to speak to meetings, and applauded his every idiotic and incendiary word.
As for "sneaking into Jimmy Carter's box," I work in the media and I heard a firsthand account from someone who was frankly stunned to see Carter, a former president, walk up to this unwashed propagandist and smilingly shake his hand. That was an overture from Carter to Moore, not the other way around.
If Moore had walked up to shake Carter's hand and Carter had turned his back on him, then my respect for Carter and the Democrats would have skyrocketed. But instead, just like their candidate, they wanted to have it both ways: they wanted to take advantage of the celebrity and the anti-Bush hatred that the Tokyo Rose of the war on terror gins up without being seen to embrace him in public. At least when the Republicans had a slimeball like David Duke in their midst, they had the cajones to tell him to get lost.
