I told the Hitchen's account to some people and some were visibly perturbed and vocally angry. Not at the truth of Hitchen's words, mind you. I upset them by telling them what Hitchens said. The truth is uncomfortable to some people who prefer not to know because they feel there is nothing they can do about it and remaining out of "the know" is how they best handle it. God Bless their hearts just the same; they are just as right. Sometimes I wish I were that way too.

So well put DL! I suspect many on this thread have felt that backlash from mentioning politically incorrect truths all their lives. And sometimes I wish I was "that way" as well but we are too perceptive...we are natural born stotters...we have an awareness of the reality of the situation that can't be covered. Our survival instincts are keen. If we weren't trying to uncover the plots for Rummy we would have chewed our fingers down to stumps by now.
