Currently it is 51-48, plus Jeffords. Democrats are going to take Illinois. Republicans don't even have a candidate yet. Republicans may also lose in Alaska, where the idiot governor selected his daughter to be a Senator. Republicans look good to win Zell Miller's seat, and pretty certain to win Hollings's seat in SC. I think that Edwards's seat in NC could also be won, but Erskine Bowles has the advantage for now. In Florida, there's a race, but I haven't heard much about it. Oklahoma will probably remain Republican.
Here in CT, Dodd is running, and his opponent is just stupid. His big campaign issue is to ensure that the Sikorsky Helicopter that the President flies around in doesn't get moved to another state. Of all the issues, this is what he picks. Geez. At least he's probably not having sex with 13 year old girls like the last Republican senate candidate in these parts.

In Florida where Katherine Harris would be winning, the GOP has fallen behind and none of the GOP candidates have caught fire.

What's the situation in Louisiana? The polls indicate thatBush will carry the state, but I know LA has a complicated voting system.

everyone (liberals and Conservatives alike) are telling me that its not looking good for the GOP in either the House or the Senate. You need to hang out with better informed people.

Brownback up up for reelection in Kansas. I don't think that the Democrats are even running anyone.

We will not lose either. It's a matter of how many we gain. W will start to pull ahead and he will have coattails.
I would be cautious believing the spin out there now.
