There is plenty of good Pizza west of the Hudson River until you get somewhere west of Philadelphia. Why? Because New York City, New Jersey, and Philadelphia have real Italian-Americans. The Chicago stuff doesn't seem to be too bad for the same reason. I say "Italian-American" because I worked with a Sicilian guy from Sicily and not only didn't his accent sound "Italian" but he would complain about how Italian-Americans put garlic in all sorts of food that shouldn't have it.
