I make typos...sometimes I catch them, most of the time I don't.But,when they're brought up as some weird sort of refutation, then that person has already lost the debate. :-)

Alan Keyes pulled the "victim" garbage TWICE.The first time, was when he demanded to have a talking spot he was NOT entitled to,in a debate. He wasn't asked to be there, but demanded he be,when the thing was already underway.

He deserves NO bone toss after the way he's treated the president and he brings nothing whatsoever to the table. He's been out of government so long, that you might as well say that Rush deserves to speak or even that obsequiously, smarmy Bill O'Riely.Hey,why don't they have Ann Coulter? FOR THE SAME REASON...SHE ISN'T A POLITICIAN!

And before you bring up wee Ron P.Reagan,he was a poke in the GOP eye for the Dems! If his name was Ron P.Jones, instead,he wouldn't have been at the convention in Boston at all.

The GOP has NOT done anything TO Keyes. It's his own ego which has destroyed him.

Okay, here's a much needed lesson in politics, that you should learn. There are reasons why people are chosen to speak at conventions;both the GOP ones and the Dem ones. They can vary from such diametrically opposed positions as they ran for president in the just past primaries, to showcasing an up and comer,to the tradition of having the sitting mayor of the city the convention is being held in (same with governor of the state)to a past president, who is much loved by that party,to someone who, like Zell Miller is from another party and is supporting that party's candidate,to McCain,as a more than obvious poke in the eye with a sharp stick to Kerry, who wanted him as V.P. of all things.

Conventions have changed drastically of late.Wives and children NEVER used to speak and down the throat, obscene slobbering kissing, a la algore and Tipper,4 years ago, and Clinton's staged walk underground are things that don't belong at ANY Convention, biut seem to now be part of the "show".AND IT IS NOW JUST A STAGED SHOW!

Tancredo is NOT a favorite" on FR at all. He's idolized by a handful of one issue FREEPERS who know almost NOTHING whatsoever about him, except that he talks about illegal aliens.Ask them what his positions are on anything else and there's dead silence.

I'm not the one calling names, but you are."ULTRA" is a shorthand version for the rabid purists and one issue voters, who never look at the big picture. It's the all or nothing, dog in the manger,"pinciples" screamer types, who neither see a glass as 1/2 full or 1/2 empty, but rather,no glass at all and if they can't have 100% of what they claim to want, then they'll take NOTHING gladly.

You've said that you are going to vote for President Bush,so I'll not lump you in with that crowd.OTOH,no,you really don't understand politics. You've proven that with every post I've read of yours on this thread.

Normally I agree, but it was to mock your unbridled arrogance, it was quite relevant in that case.

He wasn't asked to be there, but demanded he be,when the thing was already underway

So he's a party crasher? I am so sorry for the hurt GOP leaders feelings.

He deserves NO bone toss after the way he's treated the president and he brings nothing whatsoever to the table.

He seems to get about 5% of the vote every time. When turnout is everything, smart politicians wouldn't be so cavalier to dismiss them as you and they agree on. That's your own loss, smart politicians would look to reach out, but there's a reason why they call the GOP "The Stupid Party" and this is it, petty pride.

And before you bring up wee Ron P.Reagan,he was a poke in the GOP eye for the Dems! If his name was Ron P.Jones, instead,he wouldn't have been at the convention in Boston at all.

Exactly the same can be said for your lone conservative example;Micheal Reagan. Try again.

Okay, here's a much needed lesson in politics, that you should learn.

As Reagan would say, "there you go again" what a jerk.

You don't know anything about me, this pathetic strawman beating is a futile attempt to disregard my own voting record and my plans on voting in the future in order to pigeon hole me, as if I don't realize what you are still attempting. Its the oldest trick in the book, paint everyone else as an extremist and yourself as the voice of reason. Tell me, political genius, if you are so tolerant and accepting of a glass half full why wouldn't you listen to a bit of dessent on the choice of speakers? How do you know how these heretics will vote? You don't, you don't know 1/2 of what you claim.
