NO VATs they sound cool but inpractice they don't work too well and they allow the govt. to raise them way to easily. Give me a Flat Tax or an NRST(my preference because it abolishes the IRS). Either way a Flat Tax or an NRST is better than what we have now!

Yes, and when the Democrats come back into power we add back a "limited" income tax on the "rich". It's only fair that the "rich" pay their share...... Another tax is just that, ANOTHER TAX!

As much as I would love to see a sales tax that eliminates all other taxes, it ain't happening. There is no way that the federal employees that work for the IRS are going to allow being "downsized".

The perfect campaign issue for the Republicans. What are the Democrats going to do in response-- propose an expansion of the IRS???
