When it comes to the Islamofascists bent on my destruction, I see nothing humorous.

You certainly remember the bugs bunny cartoons making fun of WWII era Japanese soldiers, don't you? Or Charlie Chaplain or the three stooges making fun of Hitler? That was very powerful satire, and definitely had its place in the culture.
