I think fusion energy is a joke.

It terrifies me that you may be right.  There's no way the sun has enough wood to keep from going out before my tan is just right.

It's also a good thing we use coal in our thermonuclear warheads. This way we're not dependent on foreign oil to power our joke fusion warheads.

The sun is about 1 million times the volume of earth. You would need to scale the sun's reaction down 1 million times just to get to a plantary size reactor, let alone scaling it down to the size of normal power plant.
