The pro-abortion lobby is really starting to vamp up its "abortion pride" campaign. It was revolting enough to see that Planned Parenthood had released those "I had an abortion." shirts without articles like this floating around. Somehow I don't think this is the last we've heard of this stuff, sadly.

They are shooting themselves right in the foot and don't seem to realize it. Many, many women are pro-life for themselves and pro-choice for others because they imagine the women getting abortions are doing so because of horrific circumstances-not just because "I don't WANT it".

The more of this crap they put out, the more arrogant and dismissive they sound, the angrier these "pro-life/pro-choice" women get for having defended them.

My own mother is pro-choice. She heard the "selective reduction" story and was stunned and revolted.

Incidently, my mother happens to be "pro-choice" as well. She always made the argument to me that no woman "wants" an abortion but it is at times something that just has to be done.

I love my mother, but I don't think I will point any of this out to her. The biggest problem with her is that she is the epitome of the upper-class kool-aid drinking ultra-liberal. She will find a reason to defend this. As far as I know, she routinely gives money to Planned Parenthood.

Let's just say I'm happy I was "wanted".
