You know, Janeane had that mediocre looking-but-hot chick thing going for her in the early 90s. Plus I liked the fact that she seemed to be independent and real from the Hollywood phonies, maybe carve her own path or something.

Then I heard her favorable comments on the Soviet Union, and I knew she was going to be some stupid lefty trashing a showbiz opportunity to the altar of communism. Besides, she wasn't even that funny. One of her jokes consisted of a skit with a paper clip.

I just don't understand why people would waste a rare showbiz opportunity away blabbing about politics. If Garafalo really cared about the issues she could easily quit Hollywood and run for office somewhere. But then again, she's incapable of understanding the political process and would rather use whatever name recognition she has as a platform to promote a left-wing agenda.

She was awfully cute in the 1996 movie, "The Truth about Cats and Dogs".

But her political thinking is sophomoric and outrightly ILL.
