Well, I was thinking some more after I posted. About the time hubby let our daughter go "extended trick or treating" with the mom who lived across the way. I was at work and hubby is a little oblivious at times, I figured Jeannie was ok but we barely knew her. After some sharp interrogation from me he let on that the kid had gone in the car, for a drive, something like that with Jeannie from across the street, along with Jeannie's son and her boyfriend of the moment. I said "Did you talk to Jeannie?" "No" he said, and got a really sick look on his face. Well, we had a bad twenty minutes or so, and then the kid came bounding back. Jeannie later turned out to be not ok at all, and I once had her son, who was a sweetheart, spend the night at my house after Jeannie went wherever and the gal she left to watch him went elsewhere. One gal even moved away to avoid the responsibility of looking after Jeannie's kid all the time.

I tell you, it's stories like this that make me glad I grew up in mean old NYC. Makes you pretty on guard about people in general.

I hope & pray they find these children safe (and the rest of the people, this story is taking a creepy turn for sure).

I pray they find them ok too. Up in Idaho, or Eastern Washington, it wasn't all that long ago we didn't even lock our doors. We all make mistakes. This is a beaut, but it is done, now the important thing is to get the pictures out there for people to see. And to get that family and those kids back.
