A couple of weeks ago, our town was a little unsettled by a jet! We are a small town and our airport can only handle smaller planes, our runway is about a mile long...we hear this noise and it dawned on me that it's a twin engine jet!!!! Everyone thinks it's in trouble or WE are...it's UNMARKED! Turns out that SAC in Omaha was practicing landing on that runway in a twin engine jet, in case the President had to get out of Washington...that pilot did touch and go 3 times, and he mjust be a heck of a pilot to be able to do that on such a short reway!
Wow! That was some pilot. Glad he's in charge of Bush's safety.
What is it with the planes these days? We live at the beginning of the Bush Intercontinental incoming flight path - a busy one. We see them but rarely hear them. Last week around 11PM - we heard one that couldn't have been more than 700 feet above our house rattling the windows and our nerves. The sound went on and on - longer than you would think. It was a clear night and the neighbors who beat me outside said they could not see any lights on it. We were afraid the next thing we heard would be a crash. But nothing.....shrug
