I still remember the night of Bob Dole's convention speech. I kept thinking "All right! He's finally on fire! Now we're going to roll!" And then, a couple weeks later he was back to being little more than Good Ol' Bob Dole. Kerry is Kerry. Nothing more. And being Kerry is going to kill him. The elephant in the living room of the DNC convention is his record. He couldn't even talk about it in his own speech. What is he going to talk about during the debates? Vietnam?
His ultra-liberal Senate voting record is radioactive baggage. He didn't have to mention it in the Convention but you can be sure he'll be forced to explain his votes in the debates. I can't wait til the fall...
