There was such low expectations that it was a good speech. Just saying it wasn't doesn't make it so. But don't worry, it's not going to change anything.
He said a whole lot of nothing. You could listen to any demoRAT speech from the last 30 years and here the exact same stuff. He hid behind stem cell research from the social issues like gay marriage and activist judges. You can run John boy but you cannot hide !
Barnes and Kondracke thought it was a good speech, but didn't really do what they thought it should have done...make a case for a wartime Presidency.
They thought Edwards speech was much stronger in that respect.
