His speech was too long, and short of a supported central focus. But despite being long, he delivered it much too quickly. It was obvious he was rushing. That takes the emotion out of it, and is distracting. But having said that, in my opinion he appeared less pompous than he usually does. Less boorish and more driven.
He delivered a 55-minute speech in 46 minutes.
