The story about how their son was killed is odd. It appears he was driving a mid-90's Jeep Cherokee. Which has a curb weight of about 3000 lbs. The story goes that the "wind" blew the vehicle as it was passing a slower vehicle with a group of other vehicles. And that it was pushed into a grassy median where it flipped over.
This was a pretty freak accident. I've looked and there is nothing that indicates that any of the Cherokees had rollover problems. And no other vehicle was blown off the road. Just one.
What's very odd is that Edwards did not sue Jeep. I know several trial lawyers and I assure you no amount of grief would keep them from going after a vehicle manufacturer if they could get money out of them.
Seems kinda strange.
Sounds like the son lost control of his auto while passing.
