they were building steps onto the podium so Kerry could walk a path through the delgates to the podium, kind of like the State of the Union. Creepy and weird.

Sick! Kerry is so jealous of Bush that he visualizes himself doing all the same things Bush does. I saw him getting off his campaign plane a few months ago and having to restrain himself from saluting the groundcrew who were standing at the foot of the stairs.
It was sickening. He thinks if he acts a part, he will become the part. However the Presidency is a real job, and Kerry cannot tell us what he has done in his last few jobs, because he has only ever played the part of senator, lt. gov, etc.
Oh let him have his delusions. He will never be able to do the real thing
