The one statement the police made on TV was a plea not to call in mattress tips..they have had so many...
"We have all we need" was the telling remark...Could mean they have all the evidence they need without the mattress, have pieces of the mattress or have the mattress.
The police are not releasing details like that. Doesn't mean they haven't asked him. I'd be shocked if they hadn't. What they have said, repeatedly, is that Hacking has been lying to them. A lot.
By the end of next week, I expect some major activity in this case. Most of the forensics testing will be done and they may even charge and arrest him at that time. Remember, this murder occured during the week of Pioneer Day, which is a big deal in Utah. Everybody takes off for a long weekend and the state forensics labs, which have lots of other cases they're working on, are short of both time and staff. Things should pick up soon.
