Hey, this isn't a courtroom. We're allowed to speculate. And the Fox news report mentioned in several posts seems to back up our suspicions.

Footage from a surveillance camera shows Mark Hacking looking for a mattress in one store but then leaving, apparently when he found out he couldn't take his purchase with him right then, FOX News has learned.

Instead, he wound up buying the mattress he came home with from a store across the street.

Wow! He sure was in a hot hurry to get that mattress home. Doesn't sound like he was too particular which mattress he bought, either, just as long as it was ready to go now.
