You don't make a comment to ping the list. Instead, at the bottom of the article text, where the topics and keywords are listed, you click "Click to Add Keyword" and type in the name of the bump-list.

Eventually we'll have user created topics, that will be more like little forums, with their own home page, list of members, etc., and these bump lists turned keywords can then become topics.

Eventually, one might wish for a page or three explaining PING lists VS BUMP/KEYWORD lists/FORUM lists somewhere on the home page or site map page or some such.

Ping lists are personally maintained lists of names of folk interested in specific topics.

And BUMP/KEYWORDS are transmorgafying . . . into forums/fora?

Well, keywords are spaceless. So, currently, if I should type "Gods, Graves, Glyphs" I'd get three separate keywords, but alpha'd, so they'd be "GLYPHS; GODS; GRAVES" give or take other keywords starting with G. If I type "ancient Egypt", it turns into "ANCIENTEGYPT". I've been adding a keyword "GGG" to various topics which may or may not be in the group page, but might be nice to be able to find again. Typically, Google works faster and better, because FR has no full text search, and no way to list all topics as alpha order (for example).

Am I to understand that all of the old bump lists are now keywords? What if we maintain our own private lists and want to ping our colleagues to a particular thread. Are you saying that that method won't work anymore?

Will the keywords (interest groups might be a better description) have lists that ping to the people who have signed up under those topics?

Will we all get instructions on how to use this?
