Your damn right we wouldn't have ever heard about it, but our guys don't control what Al Jazeera broadcasts. That video is the only reason we EVER heard about this incident. Until that point (which had been +/- 5 days), we hadn't heard a darn thing about a supposedly UA Marine. But once the video was out, the Corps had to do a quick cover story, which was the "Oh yeah, we knew he was UA for awhile now..." But they quickly changed that status to Captured. His status remained as Captured until he was recovered. At no point did it go BACK to UA, regardless of the disinformation and flat-out WRONG information that was floating about in MEDIA-land.
