Can you imagine the fall-out! Berger gets charged and anyone he ever talked to or conceivably interacted with gets supoenaed to testify...practically the whole Kerry campaign staff, the Clintons, and the DNC! This is why this is huge and the Democrats have started trying to light a political "backfire" to squelch this issue!
But the mushy republicans will never push this issue...not the right "nuanced tone" in this election year!
