The Hmong are truly political and religious refugees. They are still being seiously persecuted by the Communist governments in VN and Laos for their US alliance in the war and for their rapidly proceeding conversion to Christianity- they are Protestants, by the way.

We can only hope that they as a group determine to assimilate. It will be entirely up to them, because it surely will not be made necessary.
