Not according to my calculations. 8 weeks is approximately 36 - 42 post ovulatory days so I checked out the carnegie stage and thats about stage 16 and the size of some pencil erasers. So let me ask you a question. If it doesn't look human to you is abortion and stem cell research okay as long as you get it done before it looks somewhat human?

I think that you are right that that is what she was talking about--using the odd calculation of starting at the LMP instead of at conception. I was thinking eight weeks of development, which would be Stage 22 on your chart.

To answer your question, "If it doesn't look human to you is abortion and stem cell research okay as long as you get it done before it looks somewhat human?", I would say no, I personally draw the line before that. I'm a bit confused by your question, though, since you seem to suggest that your answer is that it is not OK, but you wrote in your original post that "Once the fetus attains all human being characteristics it qualifies as a human being to me."
