I guess, I'm trying to understand your position on this.

Are you saying that ADD doesn't exist? If so, we disagree. Or are you saying that it is over-diagnosed and a trojan horse for laziness and abuse? If so, we agree.

ADD exists, it IS a recent and growing phenomenon, AND it is parentogenic. Cultural practices affect small children profoundly and perhaps irreversibly, and there is no reason to doubt they produce measurable physical changes.

THe hidden debate here is driven by the assumption that if a person who doesn't pay attention has physical brain changes then it must be genetic.

Children's minds are plastic, then harden with age (start piano lessons early). The brain is too.
