Congressman John Culverson just stated he has just received informantion from Southern District U.S. Attorney Michael Shelby (Texas)that Al Quida members have been entering from our southern border and have been entering through Texas and blending into towns....He stated this was classified and he given the OK to release this information.

The congressman may be a former congress memeber, I didn't hear his complete title. He is on KFI Los Angeles now.

I understand, but what I am saying is - how do these prosecuters know this? did they catch some of these guys? did they break up an attempt to smuggle AQ people in? for them to say they know this is happening, means they must have knowledge that it has actually occurred.

I remain dubious. They change their names to Hispanic ones, and "blend" in by pretending to be MEXICANS???? Seems to me their cover would be blown in minutes.

Do they also take intensive conversational Spanish in order to do this?

Why would a US Attorney give out information like that to a congressman, and why would a congressman blat it out on a radio station?

I'd like to hear a lot more before buying this one.

I'm almost to the point where I'll vote for whoever agrees to secure our coasts and borders, almost to the exclusion of the rest of their platform. This is the number one issue this year, and NEITHER of the two major candidates for President have shown any sign whatsoever of providing security at the border. In fact, both have shown a disturbing willingness to open the borders up even wider than they already are, and to prevent the USBP from performing its duties. Things are getting ridiculously dangerous with this issue. This will simply become a worse and worse problem until shopping malls and nightclubs start randomly exploding.

We went to a Mexican restaurant not long after 9/11, and I observed this very thing. The host was no more Mexican than I am. He was Middle Eastern, and he was attempting to blend in with the large numbers of Mexicans who work in local restaurants. We've never been back to that restaurant, but I keep it in mind. What a way to have cover. Start a Mexican restaurant, and hire a bunch of illegals who won't give you away because they, too, will be in trouble. It's not a comforting thought.

well, that must mean that some of these guys were caught somehow - and they determined their method of entry. or, they broke up a ring of people already inside the country who were facilitating them being brought in, and the method was revealed in that manner.
