>In other words, a system needs to be in place that will force illegal immigrants to come forward and register.<

Now that is a solution. These people are illegal because we have refused to let them in the country not because they failed to register before they walked in.

>Additionally, passing the FairTax will alleviate the burden these people are on us taxpaying citizens, since everyone pays under the FairTax. Mr. Cain is a BIG proponent of the FairTax.<

They send half of what they make back to Mexico. How is a consumption tax going to be collected on that money.Actually the majority of them are paying withholding and Social Security now. They have forged documents so they can not get refunds or collect on social security. They are a burden at the state level.

Cain said the other night he would be happy if the fair tax even came to a vote in the next 6 years.Sounds like he even sees it as a lovely dream with little hope of seeing the light of day.

Again, you fail to grasp the crux of the issue. Consumption taxes work based on what people spend HERE in this country. Saying that illegals send half their money to Mexico (aside from begin an unverifiable blanket statement) completely misses the point.

So, are you saying we SHOULDN'T have a system to force illegals to come forward and register? Your response doesn't make a lick of sense.
