I know I'm a first time poster, but I've been reading Free Republic for some time. I want to offer some personal observations that will encourage the supporters of Herman Cain. I know there's no reason to believe what I say, but I think you'll find that what I say supports what others have been saying. My information is obtained from independent sources, not from other Free Republic posters.
First of all, the poll produced by Insider Advantage is not accurate. Insider Advantage does not have a good history when it comes to polls. They predicted in 2000 that Jeb Bush would lose, and that Georgia was a toss up State. Don't put much stock in that poll.
Isakson is not leading by 20+ points. The Isakson campaign knows this and are now openly talking about being in a run-off. I have heard that a recent Isakson internal poll shows Isakson at 44% and Cain at 36%. I'm not the first poster here to report this information.
I have it on good information that a large metro-Atlanta County (a Republican stronghold) is seeing a significant number of African-Americans vote in the Republican primary, during the early voting period occuring this week. It is rumored that this is also happening in a large metro-Atlanta County that is a Democrat stronghold. This is not good news for Isakson.
The Collins campaign is set to go hard after Isakson this weekend on TV in a last ditch effort to overcome Cain. This will further drop Isakson's support, and is not likely to harm Cain. Cain is too far ahead of Collins for Collins to overtake Cain.
I'm not the first to predict this, but Herman Cain and Johnny Isakson will be in a runoff. If Isakson is 46% or less, Cain will win the runoff, and become the next US Senator from Georgia.
The correct parallel with Jesse Helms is, of course, Herman Cain. Helms worked his way up to newspaper executive before running for the U.S. Senate, his first public office. He had no voting record, but a history of outspoken conservatism, just like Herman Cain.
FACT:
Herman Cain gave $ 250 to pro-choice Democrat Senator BOB Kerry in THE 90's.
Herman Cain gave $ 250 to pro-choice, pro tax Democrat Senator BOB Kerry in THE 90's
So, please don't compare him to Jesse Helms
Herman Cain gave $ 250 to pro-choice, pro tax Democrat Senator BOB Kerry in THE 90's
I don't see that contribution on the newsmat site. It only lists candidates with (R)'s following their names.
http://www.newsmeat.com/fec/bystate_detail.php?city=McDonough&st=GA&last=Cain&first=Herman
Is Cain from somewhere other than McDonough GA?
p.s.
I am in Isakson's 6th district and plan on voting for Cain Tuesday.
Isakson only needs 45% to avoid a run-off. The 'RATs changed the state law after Wyche Fowler won a plurality just short of 50% on Election Day '92 but lost to Paul Coverdell in the run-off election.
Oh really.
so what you are saying is that Republicans could use a Senator who supported SEN Bob Kerry of NE who is Pro-choice and thanks to his vote we got the Clinton TAX increase in the 90's when Herman Cain was donated him $$$.
I'll do what I damn well please. The comparison is right on. Besides, Jesse Helms once shook hands with Bob KerrEy. (Point: who cares?)
At least learn how to spell the guy's name if you're going to post that attack on every Cain thread (twice).
Never mind, I was wrong. That rule only applies to the general election, I've read.
You haven't visited his website lately have you?
Facts:
Cain donated to Democrat Bob Kerrey ( Por-choice and pro-tax)in the 90's.
He supporetd MCPAIN in 2000.
He was was extending Iraq hand over date .
Okay, you've now posted the same thing six times. Clearly you don't like Cain, for reasons we can only guess at -- clearly you support Isakson, probably because he's a moderate -- but if one campaign contribution is the worst thing you can come up with, sorry, pal, but it just ain't nuthin' more than annoying when you decide to spam it everywhere.
Why don't you take your head out of your butt so you can see the keyboard and do something besides copy and paste?
what ever. truth hurts.
FACTS ARE AS FOLLOWS.
Cain donated to Democrat Bob Kerrey ( Pro-choice and pro-tax)in the 90's.
He supporetd MCPAIN in 2000.
He was was extending Iraq hand over date .

P<S Jesse HELMS NEVER GAVE Money to PRO-CHOICE people.
Sorry to have bothered you..and pinged you..
Other than one single donation, what's the real reason you don't like Herman Cain? And if not, why the other guy who has a more left leaning history?
Of course, he wants to win, he will say anything now.
Since he has no voting record, then we have to see where he
donated his money.
In that case giving $$$ to Pro-choice
Pro Tax Bob Kerrey tells me all I need to know about him.
I am for COllins...
You even lifted up your head to fix the spelling: Kerrey
But then apparently you put your head back where it's been, because this
He was was extending Iraq hand over date .
is not a sentence.
If anyone cared, they would read your comments the first time you posted them.
Sorry I ever pinged you or got to know you, you SIR are a RUDE , Mannerless A__ H___ .
